| David grew up in Atlanta and began building homes at age twelve, along side his father, Charlie Thompson. David attended High School at Pace Academy, and graduated from the University of Georgia with double majors in Real Estate and Finance. After graduation, David returned to the family business and worked three more years before building on his own. Now, many years and many homes later, David founded THOMPSON HOMES ATLANTA. David places immense value on family and believes a home should reflect the personality and lifestyle of those who live in it. It is his philosophy to build homes that are beautiful, functional, and suited to the individual homeowner. David takes great personal pride in every home he builds, and will only settle for the highest standards in Quality and Craftsmanship. David is married to Susan Prayter, who plays an active role in Thompson Homes Atlanta as a REALTOR® and Sales Manager. David and Susan are active members at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and are eagerly awaiting the adoption of a baby girl from China.
Today, THOMPSON HOMES ATLANTA is fortunate to add yet another generation to the family-owned home building business. David’s son, Drew Thompson, began working for the company in 2005. |
